UK Update:
By Rob Wilson

Congratulations Craig Dibb and Charlie Cox!

Craig Dibb and Charlie Cox put together a fantastic regatta to win their second National 420 UK Youth Championships in a row. A variety of conditions in Pwllheli Wales tested the sailors all week. There was an added dimension with a little extra pressure to gain the ISAF selection places for the Youth Worlds and the final leg of the overall World and European Selection series standings. In the lady’s ISAF selection Annabel Vose and Kirsty Urwin took the selection spot, with a 4th overall in the Youth Nationals and 2nd overall in the Worlds/ Europeans Selectors.

Toby Morsley and Matt Wallace put together a great Youth Champs finishing 2nd overall and fast upcoming Tim Riley with older brother Ed put in a great 3rd place.

Charlie Cox said: “We are over the moon to have won as it’s been a week of extremely tight racing.
To be able to defend our crown for a second year running at the  biggest regatta in the UK is a great achievement – the pressure has now been lifted and we are just so relieved to be standing here knowing we’ve won. We were certainly a lot more confident coming into this year’s regatta which I think has been key to our success this week.”
