Joe Healey won the 2012 Memorial Day Regatta Saturday and Sunday. Joe used a full North Sails invenory. The regatta was held at Larchmont Yacht Club. Three races were held. 16 Vipers sailed the regatta. Racing was curtailed after 1 race on Saturday by bad weather. The RC did a good job of getting the race started on time and race completed and competitors off the water before some bad weather hit. Joe finished 6th in Saturday’s race and won both races on Sunday. This gave him a 1 point over the Father son team of Dan and Dave Nickerson The wind was a moderate 8-9 on Saturday and 4-6 on Sunday. Joe also won the Wickford regatta last week end with Chuck Allen crewing. This week end he had Ben Parker of Rondar boats crewing.
